University Hospital Limerick, which serves north Tipp, is the most overcrowded facility in the country this afternoon, where there are 56 people waiting for a bed.
South Tipp General Hospital is also extremely busy – with 37 patients on trolleys or in overflow areas of wards.

Nationally, according to the INMO, there are 507 people waiting for a bed at hospitals across the country today.
