Two Tipperary women have been named the overall winners of the 2024 EY Entrepreneurs of the Year.

Orlaith Ryan and Sharon Cunningham of Clonmel-based Shorla Oncology were among 24 businesses shortlisted for this year’s event.

The winners were announced at a ceremony in Powerscourt Hotel, Co Wicklow last night.

Shorla Oncology is a specialty pharmaceutical company that develops and commercialises innovative oncology drugs for orphan and paediatric cancers.

Sharon and Orlaith will now travel to Monaco in June to represent Ireland at the EY World Entrepreneur of the Year awards.
