There are plans for a major refurbishment of a public house in Carrick on Suir.
A planning application has been lodged with Tipperary County Council for The Auld Rogue.
The owners say they want to transform the site on the corner of Kickham Street and Town Wall Street into a larger, more versatile hospitality venue.
The works include expanding the bar area on the ground floor as well as creating additional seating areas, including an outdoor space.
A new function room is planned for the first floor which would be accessible through a dedicated entrance from Town Wall Street.
This will provide space for events, meetings, and private gatherings.
It’s also proposed to refurbish two apartments on the second floor to meet modern standards.
The proposed development will create employment opportunities during both construction and operation.
JSF Property Holding say the expanded facilities will support 12 to 15 jobs with an additional 5 to 8 people employed for events in the function room.
A decision is due from Tipperary County Council by May 26th.
