Bus Eireann route cuts in Tipperary to be discussed by Transport Committee

The discontinuation of some expressway bus services – including some serving Tipperary – will be discussed by the Transport Committee later.

Members will meet with representatives from Bus Éireann & the National Transport Authority to discuss the proposed changes.

Among the routes being targeted is the Number 7 service through South Tipp with Bus Éireann proposing to axe stops in Ballyporeen, Clogheen, Ardfinnan, Kilsheelan and Carrick on Suir.

The Committee says it's concerned that the changes would have a serious impact on rural towns and villages.
