The first budget of the minority government will be announced this lunchtime.
Tax cuts for all workers, welfare increases for pensioners and the most vulnerable and a help to buy a home for first time buyers will be among the highlights.
Michael Noonan will have around 400 million available for tax cuts this afternoon – most of it will be eaten up by small USC cuts for all workers.
A help to buy scheme for first time buyers of new builds will be confirmed, while an increase in cigarettes is likely to be the only hit on the old reliables.
Then it'll be a budget debut for Paschal Donohoe and he'll have around 800 million euro available for spending increases.
Key features will be the biggest health budget in the history of the state, increases in the pension and welfare payments for the most vulnerable, a cut in prescription charges and money for extra nurses, teachers and Gardaí.
Campaign group Age Action says the government must follow through on its promise to boost pensions in the budget.
