12-year-old Shane Maher from Scoil Naomh Cualan in Borrisoleigh was picked for his entry into the Sightsavers Junior Painters Awards 2017.
His work was inspired by this year's theme 'Framing the Future' and he secured 3rd place, winning a substantial cash prize for his school.

Shane's painting will be exhibited in Powerscourt Townhouse Centre this summer from July 1st through to August 5th.
