The Jobs Minister says Ireland will support any changes that will make it easier for Greece to grow.
It comes after the Taoiseach said yesterday that Greece should follow Ireland's lead in dealing with its bailout problems and negotiate with the EU.
Greece is looking for a “bridging loan” to secure its short-term finances as it tries to get a better deal on its overall bailout package.
Jobs Minister Richard Bruton says each country needs to negotiate concessions and make changes that contribute to a stronger Europe – and Ireland has shown that is the right path.
“It's a community of nations, they have to sit down together through the institutions and we have shown that that does win concessions for the Irish taxpayer” he said.
“It allows an economy get back on track, and that's the approach that every country has to take”.
“We will support changes that will make it easier for Greece to grow” he added.
