Bord na Mona workers in Tipperary will join around 1,500 of their colleagues today as Unions escalate their strike action.

Staff staged a one-day stoppage earlier this month as part of their campaign to secure a 3.5% pay rise due to them under the national wage agreement.

Members of Siptu, Unite and the TEEU will picket outside the Bord na Mona briquette factory near Littleton in the first of two days of strike action.
