Boost for Tipperary employer.

A number of new jobs have been created in County Tipperary due to the success of Superquinn sausages.

Supermarket chain SuperValu – which now operates the former Superquinn stores across the country – report a doubling in sales since last October.

They expect to sell €14 million worth of the sausages this year while a number of new products will be hitting the shelves shortly

These include Superquinn sausage meat, pork sausage burgers and pork jumbo and cocktail sausages.

As a result of the increased demand the Larry Goodman owned ABP Food Group plant in Cahir has had to take on eight extra staff.
