Boost for rural South Tipp company

Eurotags is part of Mullinahone Co-Op – they have been producing tags since the first official bovine tagging was introduced in 1995.

The company – which employs 25 people – expects to process about 60,000 tags per week over the next six or seven weeks.

General manager Liam Egan says Eurotags along with the co-op is bucking the trend of rural decline employing 75 staff in all.
