The Boil Water Notice on the all customers on the Linguan Public Water Supply has been lifted with immediate effect
The notice for the Fethard Regional Public Water Supply Scheme was also lifted yesterday evening.
Uisce Éireann confirmed that, after consulting with the Health Service Executive, the water is now safe to use.
The notice for Carrick on Suir, issued on January 25th, was due to elevated ammonia levels affecting the water treatment.
Uisce Éireann thanked the community for their patience during the notice however it has reminded customers on the Crotty’s Lake Water Supply that the notice is still in place.
Colin Cunningham from Uisce Eireann added, “We acknowledge the impact the ongoing Boil Water Notice for customers in Carrick-on-Suir supplied by Crotty’s Lake is having. Public health is our number one priority. We wish to assure customers that we are working to resolve the issues at the water treatment plant as quickly and as safely as possible.”
