Barnardos services in Mid Tipperary have been boosted today.

The country's leading independent children's charity has officially opened its newly extended purpose designed space in Thurles.

Barnardos CEO Fergus Finlay says it will allow them to continue to work with children and families in Tipperary in a more welcoming, comfortable and child focused environment.

The expansion of the charity's centre – which has been in place in Thurles for 15 years, was funded by a donation from the Tony Ryan Trust.
