Bank Holiday weekend exodus to cause extra traffic

The June Bank Holiday is traditionally one of the busiest of the year and with good weather forecast, many people will be travelling to visit family and friends for the long weekend. 

So far this year, 12 people have been killed on Tipperary's roads with 74 nationally.

Gardaí and The Road Safety Authority are urging motorists to watch their speed on this – the most dangerous weekend of the year.

Figures show a consistent number of fatal collisions over the June Bank Holiday.
