This follows a comprehensive submission put forward jointly to Alan Kelly from both North Tipperary and Clare County Councils.

Minister Kelly – who has Government responsibility for sustainable and smarter travel – said that this funding will go towards a comprehensive list of works in both towns.

Particular emphasis will be placed on footpaths, pedestrian crossings, cycle ways, access points to schools, bridge work and signage.
