Members of the Defence Forces have helped to deliver a baby during a rescue operation in the Mediterranean.
The LÉ Eithne picked up 703 migrants from five inflatable boats off the coast of Libya yesterday.

The baby was born as the ship made its way to the safe port of Cantina in Sicily and is said to be doing well.
