Tipperary actor nominated for IFTA

Nenagh’s Carolyn Bracken has been nominated in the lead actress category in this year’s IFTAs for her part in Oddity

She began acting at age four, as a member of local theatre group The Nenagh Players

‘Kneecap’ and ‘Say Nothing’ are leading this year’s nominations.

The Irish-language film is up for 10 awards, while the IRA focused series is up for seven.

Some of the other big names featuring across the nominations lists include Michael Fassbender, Cillian Murphy, Paul Mescal, Saoirse Ronan and Nicola Coughlan.

Other films and shows being recognised include ‘Small Things Like These’, ‘Blue Lights’ and ‘Bad Sisters’.
