A joint operation involving Gardaí from Tipperary and Limerick over the last six months has resulted in a series of early morning searches in the Cappawhite and Bruff areas today.
They were investigating a series of thefts from farms and farmyards in recent months.
Three men aged between 17 and 27 were arrested – 2 in Cappawhite and 1 in Bruff.
They are currently being detained at Tipp Town, Bruff and Roxsboro Garda stations.
Cannabis herb worth €10,000 was seized during todays operation while a number of items of farm equipment which had been stolen was recovered.
The Garda operation is ongoing.
Meanwhile Gardaí in Tipp are appealing for witnesses following two incidents in the town last night.
A man described as 5 foot 10 in height and of thin build entered the Ladbrokes betting shop and Gerry's Newsagents in Bank Place around 9.30.
He made off with a sum of cash – anyone with information is asked to contact Tipp town Gardaí on 062 51212.
