Arrest warrant issued for captain of South Korea ferry

Prosecutors in South Korea have asked for an arrest warrant for the captain of a ferry that sank.

It's emerged the captain was not at the helm when the ship capsized, but his third mate was on the bridge.

It's understood a high school deputy head rescued from the ferry has been found dead.

The AP news agency is reporting his death – it's believed he took his own life.

The death toll from the disaster now stands at 28 people – with nearly 270 still missing.
