Gardai in Waterford are questioning a 20 year old man in connection with an aggravated burglary in the city in the early hours of this morning.
The man was detained when officers responded to reports a man – armed with a hatchet – had threatened a household in the Abbeyside area of Dungarvan.
It's understood cash and mobile phones were also stolen.
The man is being questioned at Dungarvan Garda Station – under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act.
