A man, armed with a knife, entered a petrol station in the town and made off with a sum of cash.
This robbery took place yesterday evening shortly before 9pm on the main Limerick road in Tipperary Town.
The suspect entered the petrol station on foot from a lane at the side…the man, who Gardaí believe was armed with a knife threatened a female member of staff, and made off with a small sum of cash.
Nobody was injured in the incident, but the staff member is said to be traumatised.
Gardaí in Tipperary town are appealing to anyone who may have seen anything in the area between 8.40 and 9pm to contact them.
The male suspect is described as being between 5 foot 3 and 5 foot 6, wearing a grey hoodie tracksuit top with black stripes on the sleeves.
He was also wearing black pants and black runners.
