Prosecutors have been given the right to appeal Oscar Pistorius' manslaughter conviction for killing his girlfriend – and press for a murder charge instead.
But an application to appeal his five-year sentence – described by the prosecution yesterday as “shockingly inappropriate” – has been dismissed.
