DonoAir's plans to erect 8 126 metre high wind turbines on the foot of Slievenamon have come in for severe criticism from local communities.

Plans for the project that were lodged to Tipperary County Council were withdrawn due to a lack of information but it's expected new ones will be submitted shortly.

The Suir Valley Environmental Group, which is against the wind farm, is holding a series of clinics across the area to give information on how to lodge objections to the project.

PRO for the Group Pete Smith says the 'Carrigadoon Wind Park' would affect a huge area.
