Deputy Mattie McGrath’s comments follow the discovery of carcasses of a large number of dead horses in a field at Knocklofty near Clonmel.
Locals and animal welfare groups were horrified as this isn’t the first time that horses have been found dead at this location.
According to figures obtained by Deputy Mattie McGrath in just 4 years 599 of the 765 horses seized in Tipperary had to be put down.
Deputy Mattie McGrath says people need to continue to complain about animal cruelty.
