Garda action against illegal hunting in North Tipp

Gardaí from North Tipperary carried out checkpoints and patrols in conjunction with the National Parks and Wildlife Service in the Rathcabbin and Lorrha areas over the weekend.

The operation was aimed at combating illegal hunting of animals and animal cruelty with a view to prosecuting those involved.

People are being encouraged to contact their local Garda Station or the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111 if they witness anyone engaging in illegal hunting
