Inland Fisheries Ireland is looking for submissions to help develop an overall strategy on the issue.

Carrick on Suir based Labour Senator Denis Landy met with IFI CEO Ciaran Byrne recently and is confident they will take into consideration the views of the people across the county that use the river Suir regularly for recreation and fishing.

He feels every effort needs to be made to ensure that salmon stocks are improved and believes this is a step in the right direction.
