Anger at planned changes to services at Nenagh General Hospital

The Health Service Executive has been accused if implementing the Hanly Report in full at Nenagh General Hospital.

Sinn Fein Councillor Seamie Morris has condemned the latest downgrading of services at the North Tipp Hospital.

He claims the loss of the Intensive Care Unit is immoral and will result in deaths because of the absence of the promised Critical Care Block at the Mid Western Regional Hospital which remains unopened.

The replacement of full A&E services with a Local Injuries Unit is also seen as a major retrograde step by Councillor Morris.
