An Bord Pleanala to rule on Thurles planning appeal

A decision is due today on an appeal lodged in relation to a plans for a fire damaged building in Thurles.

The local Town Council granted conditional approval to Pat Dwyer for the demolition of the buildings at the Westgate and the construction of a new retail unit.

Last March he lodged an appeal with An Bord Pleanala against the conditions attached to the granting of planning by Thurles Town Council.

The building in question was gutted by a fire at the StyleMan menswear shop in 2008.
