Almost 4 million in payouts in Tipperary injury claims

Over 3.7 million Euro was awarded in compensation to personal injury claimants in Tipperary in the first half of this year.

It's the eight largest number of awards in the country per head of population – with Limerick ranked the highest and Kilkenny the lowest.

The figures from the Injuries Board show that overall  118 million Euro was awarded in compensation from January to June-

Its up 8.3 per cent on the same period last year with road traffic accidents continuing to account for the majority of claims.

The Injuries Board has also unveiled it's new app today which features an interactive claim estimator and information on how to access and navigate its public services.
