All five GMAs passed in Tipperary

Clonmel Borough District were the last of the five in the county to adopt their General Municipal Allocation for the coming year.

A total of half a million euro has been allocated between the districts which had to be agreed before the county budget meeting.

The GMA doesn't replace the strategic expenditure of the local authority but is a discretionary spend on areas like housing, road and amenity maintenance.

Mayor of the Clonmel Borough District English says while they would have preferred increased funding they will make the most of what they have been allocated.
