There's good news for people in North Tipperary as approval has finally been given to provide 24/7 coronary care services at the Mid Western Regional Hospital in Limerick.
It follows an inspection of the facility by the HSE Clinical Lead Dr Kieran Ryan last week.
A small number of patients were being transferred to Galway for angiography services as the Limerick facility had not been available 24/7.
The news has been welcomed by North Tipperary Minister of State Alan Kelly.
