Tipperary Labour Deputy Alan Kelly says he couldn’t care less about the apology issued to him in the Dail last night by Minister Charlie Flanagan.

He also maintains that the Justice Minister should be the next to step down

Charlie Flanagan issued a formal apology to Labour TD Alan Kelly in the Dáil last night after he alleged Mr Kelly was engaged in a smear campaign against him.

Speaking last night, Alan Kelly said he couldn’t care less about the apology.
While he said that he accepted Mr Flanagan’s apology, it wasn’t a matter of concern for him.

Alan Kelly has called for Justice Minister Charlie Flanagan to step down from office and said the Department needs to be split in two.

He accused Charlie Flanagan of attacking him in the Dail because he knew that the Questions Alan Kelly was asking, were about to blow the lid off the Department.

The Tipperary Deputy also maintains that more serious questions need to be answered and that a complete overhaul of the Department is now needed, with Policing and security being kept seperate.
