Air ambulance service back in action this week


The air-ambulance service is to resume operations this week following last weeks crash in North Tipperary.

The Emergency Aeromedical Service was grounded in the wake of the incident near Borrisoleigh.

The Air-Corps Eurocopter EC-135 crashlanded in a field at Currabaha Cross on the Nenagh – Borrisoleigh road on Tuesday last.

It's believed the helicopter struck power lines while on its way to ferry a patient from Tipperary to Limerick.

No one was injured in the incident.
