Teagasc take steps to improve River Suir water quality

Teagasc has appointed a River Catchment Co-ordinator to improve the water quality in the River Suir.

It’s part of the Better Farming for Water campaign.

Claire Mooney will lead a multi actor approach to bring local farmers together with other stakeholders including Tipperary County Council and the government.

There’s also been five other coordinators appointed to work with other iconic rivers like the Boyne, the Blackwater, the Slaney, the Lee and Bandon rivers in Cork and the Nore and Barrow.
