60 calls from Tipp to Crime Victims Helpline

There were over 60 calls from Tipperary to the Crime Victims Helpline last year.

This accounted for 1½ per cent of the total number of contacts made to the service which provides confidential support to victims of crime across the country.

They dealt with 1,720 phone calls in 2016 – up 40% on the previous year.

In all there were over 4,100 contacts made with the Crime Victims Helpline by phone, email, text and post last year.
