40 jobs going in Clonmel

William Grant & Sons are winding up production of their Tullamore Dew whiskey at the C&C site on the outskirts of the town.

In 2015 the company announced they were moving operations to its distillery in County Offaly.

A number of workers have already finished up at the Annerville plant over the last year.

The remainder will finish up today as bottling of the whiskey ends in Clonmel.

William Grant acquired Tullamore Dew along with three other spirits from drinks group C&C in 2010 for €300 million.
