38 Tipp Sports club to benefit from extra grant aid

As part of the Governments €41 million Sports Capital Programme 38 clubs and local organisations in the Premier County have been allocated money ranging from €2,500 up to €80,000.

The one and a quarter million coming to Tipperary has been warmly welcomed across the political divide in Tipperary with Deputy Noel Coonan paying tribute to the powerful work and immense voluntary effort made by those involved with the clubs.

Among those to receive funding is Thurles Golf Club who gets 35 thousand, Cashel RFC 40 thousand, Borrisoleigh GAA club is to get 80 thousand while the newly formed Cahir Rowing Club will get 18 thousand.

Cahir Park soccer club have major plans for their grounds – PRO Darren Ward says the 80 thousand will be put to good use.
