Over 350 people are on trolleys at hospitals across the country.
The Irish Nurses and Midwives Organisation claims University Hospital Waterford is the most overcrowded with 37 people in need of a bed.
University Hospital Limerick – which serves North Tipp – is next with 29 people on trolleys and overflow areas of wards.
At South Tipp General in Clonmel there are 13 patients without a bed today.
