120 new Gardai have been sworn in at the Training College in Templemore.
They are completeing their passing out ceremony in front of the Commissioner Drew Harris and the MInister for Justice this lunchtime.
However only 11 of the new graduates will be allocated to the South which covers Tipperary.
This is the lowest number of any region, with the majority – 74 – being posted to Dublin.
Minister Jim O’Callaghan has been telling TippFM News that the best way to ensure more Gardai are available in Tipperary is to continue to push the recruitment drive:
