The Irish Franciscans have criticized what they call the “illegal occupation” of the Friary in Clonmel.

The Franciscan Friary was due to shut its doors for good after a final mass on New Year’s Eve, however a ‘sit-in’ is now ongoing in the 13th-century building as locals attempt to keep the church open….
