Gardai are appealing for witnesses following a fatal crash in Waterford a few kilometres from Carrick on Suir
A man in his 60 was killed following the crash between a van and a 4×4 at Ballyhest Cross in Rathgormack on the Carrick to Dungarvan Road.
It happened at around 10 am and the victim – a man in his 60’s who was the sole occupant of the van was pronounced dead at Waterford University Hospital.
The two occupants of the 4×4 were also take to hospital for medical assessment.
The stretch of the Carrick on Suir/Lemybrien road, where the collision took place is closed at Ballyhest Cross is sealed off for a forensic investigation and diversions are in place.
Gardai in Tramore are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed the crash to contact them on 051-391620
Separately, Gardaí are appealing for witnesses to a fatal collision in County Laois.
A 48 year old woman was killed in a crash involving two cars on the N80 at Ballickmoyler at around 10 o clock last night.
