Increased flexibility on slurry spreading deadlines are being hailed as a major breakthrough for farmers by a Tipperary TD.
Up to now farmers have had to stop spreading by October 15th – this has now been eased.

The matter was raised with the Taoiseach in the Dáil by Independent Deputy Mattie McGrath.
He says the current calendar based deadline was ridiculous and totally unworkable.
