Tipp’s Ladies Footballers journey north has been in vain as their game against Tyrone in Division 2 of the League has been called off due to adverse weather conditions.

All Under 21 Football games in West Tipp are off today due to snow while all local rugby games have also fallen foul of the weather.

In local soccer St Michael’s Munster Junior Cup tie at home to Murroe in Cooke Park is another victim of the weather as is the game between Cahir Park and Southend United from Waterford.

However the National Coursing Festival at Powerstown Park in Clonmel is going ahead with a later start of 12 noon.
