Varadkar says St. Vincent’s site is only site for NMH

Leo Varadkar says the only possible site for the new national maternity Hospital is at St Vincent’s in Dublin.

It follows calls for the Government to consider moving the project elsewhere – IF it can’t ensure the Government maintains ownership of it.

It’s due to be built on land owned by the Sisters of Charity.

Minister Varadkar – who’s a qualified Doctor – says the new hospital will have clinical independence – and will carry out all procedures.
