A multi million Euro upgrade of the Wastewater Treatment Plant in Ballina has been completed.
The project has significantly modernised and improved the performance and capacity of the plant and will accommodate growth and development in the area.

Portfolio Manager at Uisce Éireann Paul Fallon says the €12 million project will benefit the area greatly.
Works involved increasing the capacity of the treatment plant which now has the ability to serve a population equivalent of approximately 8,000.
