Tobin targets European medal

Clonmel AC athlete Sean Tobin says he’s certain he can earn a team medal at the European Cross Country Championships next year.

Last weekend he finished in 15th place in the race in Slovakia – on what was his senior debut.

His fellow Clonmel AC teammate Kevin Maunsell finished in 24th position.

Overall the team, including Hugh Armstrong, finished in fifth place – and speaking on Extra Time with Ronan Quirke last night Tobin says it’s given people belief they can come back next year.
