Tipp’s win over Meath edges them closer to Division 1

Tipperary footballers took a step closer to Division 1 status for next season with a win against Meath on Saturday in Semple Stadum.

The Premier won on a final scoreline of 2-15 to 1-10.

If the team manage to take the win in Thurles next Sunday against Louth, they will have guaranteed their status for 2019.

Ballyporeen’s Conor Sweeney managed an impressive 9 points in the game, while Bill Maher and Michael Quinlivan got the ball into the back of the net.
