Dylan Slevin narrowly missed out on a place in a first EuroTour event of the year today.
The Borrisokane man was beaten 6-3 by England’s Martin Lukeman in his final round game in the Flanders Darts Trophy qualifier.
The 22-year-old had won his opening round games, recording his highest ever average on tour, averaging 106 against Owen Bates whilst beating Limerick’s William O’Connor 6-5 in the second round.
The final round loss means Slevin misses out on a place in the Flanders Darts Trophy and ends a disappointing week for the Tipp man in Leicester as he also lost out in the Baltic Sea Darts Open qualifier at the first round stage and managed just one win in the three players championship events this week.
Slevin will aim for better results when he returns to the PDC ProTour on July 8th.
