Tipperary’s Anna Rose Kennedy is returning home from Australia.
The Aherlow clubwoman featured in all 11 games with the Geelong Cats this season, after debuting in the 2023 campaign.
However, the Southern Australia club has announced that the defender will return home for the entirety of the 2025 season for personal reasons.
Geelong Cats Assistant General Manager of Football Brett Johnson said in a statement that the Club will give Kennedy the option and flexibility to return to the Cats after some time back home.
He added: “While it is unfortunate for us and our football program to farewell Anna-Rose, we acknowledge the massive sacrifice that all Irish players make to play in Australia.
On behalf of the Club, we would like to wish her all the best in the future and the next stage of her life and career.”
