Tipperary supporters have expressed their frustrations at the scheduling of the All-Ireland senior ladies football quarter-final.
The Premier are into the knockout stages of the senior grade for the first time in 45 years following last weekend’s win over Donegal.
Ed Burke’s side will play Meath in the last eight, with the game set to take place on Sunday July 6th at 5.15pm in Pairc Tailteann, Navan.
This clashes with the Tipp senior hurlers’ semi-final meeting with Kilkenny at 4pm and also the potential camogie quarter-final earlier in the day in Croke Park.
Deputy Micheal Lowry is among many who have voiced their frustrations pointing out that Tipperary vs Meath should be one of the three quarter-finals fixed for Saturday July 5th instead.
The Independent TD says: “This is not just a clash of calendars – it’s a failure in planning that actively damages the growth and visibility of Ladies Football in Tipperary and beyond.”
