The Tipperary senior ladies footballers have been well beaten their opening game of the All-Ireland championship despite an improvement in the second half.
The game finished Galway 1-13 – Tipperary 0-7 in Tuam.
The Tribeswomen did the damage with an unanswered 1-08, including Leanne Coen’s goal, to lead 1-10 to 0-1 at half-time with a pointed free from Aishling Moloney the Premier’s only score in that period.
Tipp put in a much improved second half display but couldn’t affect the outcome against the Connacht Champions.
Tipp had a great win thought Glen Dimplex U23 All Ireland Camogie Championship against Waterford.
An early goal helped the visitors into a 1-03 to nil lead after eight minutes in Portlaw.
It was 1-07 to 0-03 points at the break and by full time it was: Tipperary : 2-18(24) – Waterford: 0-7(7).
